Isabella Cabrera, Life Coach

I am excited to be part of The Balanced Coach as an independent life coach, bringing my expertise in psychology, neuroscience, and holistic wellness to our practice.

I studied Psychology at the University of Miami on a pre-med track with a minor in Chemistry, and I am currently pursuing my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Nova Southeastern University. I am also certified as both a Brain Health Licensed Trainer and Brain Health Professional, allowing me to integrate evidence-based, neuroscience strategies directly into our coaching sessions.

My passion lies in the mind–body connection—helping you understand how your physical health impacts your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Having worked with clients across the lifespan, from children to older adults, I combine compassion with science to guide you in strengthening resilience, improving brain health, and creating lasting growth.

  • What Happened to You? — Bruce Perry & Oprah Winfrey

"This book gently shifts the question from 'What is wrong with me?' to 'What happened to me?' — and that one change makes all the difference. If you have ever wondered why you react the way you do, this is the book for you. It is an easy, powerful read that I believe can truly open the door to healing." — Isabella

  • Complex PTSD: From Surviving to Thriving — Pete Walker

"For my clients who experienced trauma early in life — whether that was neglect, emotional abuse, or growing up in an unpredictable environment — this book is a game changer. Pete Walker writes from both a professional and personal perspective and it shows. It is one of the most validating and hopeful books I have ever read on complex trauma. You will feel seen and understood on every page." — Isabella

  • Dare — Barry McDonagh

"I recommend this book to so many of my clients who struggle with anxiety because it completely changes your relationship with fear. Instead of fighting your anxiety, Barry teaches you to face it in a whole new way. It is practical, it is real, and it works. If anxiety has been holding you back from living your life fully, this book will feel like a breath of fresh air." — Isabella

  • Waking the Tiger — Peter Levine

"What I love most about this book is how hopeful it is. Peter Levine helps us understand that our bodies already know how to heal from trauma — we just need to learn how to listen to them. This book is gentle, compassionate, and incredibly empowering. I recommend it especially to clients who feel like their body is working against them, because this book will show you it is actually working for you." — Isabella
