Our Mission & Team

Meet Our Founder – Kelly Reyes Rivera, MS

I’m Kelly Reyes Rivera, MS, Founder of Balanced Coaching. With a Master’s in Forensic Psychology and advanced training in trauma-informed care, memory coaching, and brain-based strategies, I bring both clinical insight and real-world coaching expertise to every client I serve.

Over the past decade, I’ve worked with adults, teens, and children facing challenges ranging from trauma recovery to memory decline. My background includes work in psychiatric clinics that used advanced brain imaging technology, giving me a deep understanding of how thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are wired in the brain. This knowledge, combined with training in EMDR-informed strategies and Neurolinguistic Programming (NLP), allows me to create evidence-based coaching that is structured, reliable, and results-driven.

Balanced Coaching was born out of my desire to bridge science and transformation—helping people not just heal, but thrive. Alongside my husband, I lead our practice with the belief that true change happens when compassion meets proven methods. Our work is grounded in our faith, our values, and a deep commitment to every client’s growth.

Today, as Balanced Coaching expands into a team of specialized coaches, I continue to guide our mission: to provide trustworthy, expert coaching that helps clients build resilience, unlock their potential, and create lasting change.

Our Approach

 At Balanced Coaching, our approach blends science and compassion. We use methods like Cognitive Behavioral Coaching, mindfulness practices, and NLP strategies to help clients break through barriers, rewire thought patterns, and create lasting change.

With a foundation in brain health and trauma-informed care, every session is personalized—giving you tools that are practical, structured, and designed to work in real life.

Our Services

Every journey begins with a complimentary consultation to understand your goals and challenges. From there, we create a personalized coaching plan that includes:


  • Evidence-based strategies tailored to your needs
     
  • Real-world action steps after each session
     
  • Progress check-ins to keep you on track
     

Because meaningful change takes time, we typically recommend a six-month commitment. This allows enough time for new habits and thought patterns to take root, creating lasting transformation.

For families, we integrate parent involvement to ensure strategies are reinforced at home—because lasting growth happens when everyone is supported.

Meet Isabella Cabrera – Life Coach at Balanced Coaching

Isabella Cabrera (Life Coach)

We’re excited to introduce Isabella Cabrera, an Independent Coach at Balanced Coaching who brings expertise in psychology, neuroscience, and holistic wellness to our team.

Isabella studied Psychology at the University of Miami (pre-med track, minor in Chemistry) and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Nova Southeastern University. She is also certified as both a Brain Health Licensed Trainer and Brain Health Professional, equipping her to use evidence-based, neuroscience strategies in her coaching.

Her passion lies in the mind–body connection—helping clients understand how physical health impacts thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. With experience across the lifespan, from children to older adults, Isabella combines compassion with science to guide clients in strengthening resilience, improving brain health, and creating lasting growth.
